04-07-2009 - "Rail Advocates See Hope In Federal Stimulus Money" WAMC Northeast Public Radio report on the efforts of New England Regional Rail Coalition (NERRC) members, including PVACR, to lobby for federal stimulus money for regional rail projects, including the Knowledge Corridor Passenger Rail line from Springfield to White River Junction, VT and the New Haven-Hartford-Springfield (NHHS) Commuter Rail project.
04-06-2009 - Gov. Patrick Discusses Commuter Rail in Western Mass at Town Forum - Gov. Patrick fielded a question about commuter rail submitted by a PVACR member at a live town forum broadcast on WWLP-22 News. 03-30-2009 - As member of the New England Regional Rail Coalition (NERRC), PVACR issued a press release announcing the coalition's letter urging federal stimulus funding for rail projects in New England, including NHHS and the Knowledge Corridor Passenger Rail line.
03-05-2009 - PVACR guest on WNPR, Connecticut Public Radio’s show “Where We Live: Reality of the Rail - New Haven to Springfield” hosted by John Dankosky.
03-02-2009 - PVACR issued media advisory about efforts to pressure policymakers at the Mar. 4 Pioneer Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) meeting and Joint Committee on Transportation hearing on the Governor's transportation proposal to fund commuter rail projects, including the NHHS and the Knowledge Corridor Passenger Rail line.
